How Much Time Will I Spend Getting My RN to BSN?
If you are planning to go back to school to get your RN to BSN degree, you probably wonder how long it will take. Below, our nurse expert, Shanna Shafer BSN, discusses how long it took her to complete her RN to BSN degree.
How Long Does it Take to Get a BSN, If I’m Already an RN?
“My RN to BSN program took me about two years. I did go part time, because I wanted to be able to keep working and still have some time to myself and to stay sane and to have a personal life. I started in 2008 and I took about two classes per semester and I did take courses over the summer as well. I graduated, actually, in the winter of 2009 so it took me just under two years to complete.”
The time it takes to complete an RN to BSN depends upon whether you choose to go full time or part time, and can also depend upon the school you choose.
